Lost Rabbit was born from a family story, a shared passion for Madeira, and more than 50 years of combined experience in tourism.
Founded by father and son.
Sérgio Coelho and Luís Coelho bring together two generations of knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for showing visitors the island they know and love.
Following in his father's footsteps, Luís has been working in tourism for more than 15 years. Speaking four languages, he developed the same passion for hospitality and the same commitment to an exceptional experience.
Sérgio has dedicated more than 35 years to the tourism industry. With an extensive international background and five languages, he has spent decades working with clients from all over the world, including VIP guests and highly demanding private services.
Throughout their careers, both have worked with VIP clients and highly demanding services, where attention to detail, discretion, flexibility and excellence are not optional, they are essential. Those years shaped them into the guides they are today.
And at some point, a simple question arose: why not bring all this knowledge, experience and passion together and create something of our own?
And so, Lost Rabbit was born.
Where the name comes from.
There is a little piece of our family in the name. Our surname is Coelho
the name that connects us, represents our family and reminds us where we come from. That is why the rabbit became part of our identity.
For us, Lost Rabbit is not simply a brand. It stands for family, continuity, passion, and the journey of two generations.
Comfort, off the beaten path.
Going beyond the usual Madeira should not mean giving up comfort. We chose a newer generation of 4×4, capable enough for remote tracks and hidden corners, modern enough to keep the day easy: air conditioning, panoramic roofs, a lighter footprint on the island. When Madeira opens up one of its views, we want you to have the perfect seat for it.
